ZIL Art facade
A relief-tile skin that turns a former car plant’s history into a facade that shifts with the light.

A former car plant was being reworked into a calm, sculptural streetscape. Architectural bureau DROM wanted the facade to carry the site’s industrial past.
A family of custom relief tiles that distil bodywork, vents and panels into abstract forms, repeated and rotated into a flowing pattern.
Light slides over the curves and the building seems to move as you walk past: precise and mechanical up close, one continuous graphic skin from a distance.
